Index November us services purchasing managers on Friday carried out by Markit came by the 54.7 per cent, 0.1 per cent of the final estimate of October. The consensus of Investing.com also was 54.8 percent. Markit services PMI is a diffusion index: areading above 50 indicates expansion in the sector; below 50 indicates contraction.

United States service sector companies reported another strong increase in activityduring November, with the pace of ex pasion near the peak of 11 months in October. As a result, growth momentum remained much stronger than in the first halfof 2016. [Release]

Here is a coating with the survey PMI equivalent carried out by the Institute for Supply Management, that is referred to as "Non-Manufacturing". The year past the metric of the ISM has been significantly more volatile of them two.
The following table uses a moving average of three months of the two rather volatile series to facilitate our understanding of current trends. Early in the year 2016 themetric of the ISM has shown growth stronger than the counterpart of Markit. It will be interesting to see how these two indicators are played out in the comingmonths.
Both series will have weakened from 2015. Meanwhile three month moving averageof the index Markit services came in August of 2014. The index ISM reached its point maximum in September of 2015. The two were quite closely aligned at the beginning of this year, but diverged in early 2016 with Markit index warning significantly weaker growth. We are going to see if continues the recent rebound in the index of Markit.
